How fast results were posted

Contested trustee areas, by when complete counts were posted. Cutoff: 8 pm ET on 27 October 2026, 24 hours after polls closed.

Election night means complete counts were posted before the first collection began at 7:45 am, the morning after the vote. A later time is when this collection first found the complete counts; a clerk may have posted them earlier.

Method and sources

Sources. Each trustee race is run by a municipal clerk. Results were copied as posted on the clerks' results pages, certificates and declarations, and linked under each area. Where an area covers more than one municipality, the lead clerk's combined count is used; where only the parts were posted, the parts are added together. No number is estimated.

Unofficial and official. Most clerks post unofficial counts on election night and certify them later. An area is marked official only where the clerk's certificate or declaration was posted. The clerk's declaration is the official result.

Elected. Where the clerk's page marks the winners, those are shown. Where it does not, the candidates with the most votes for the number of seats are shown as elected. In areas with more than one seat, voters cast more than one vote, so a candidate's share is of all votes cast in the area, not of voters.

Reporting speed. Polls closed at 8 pm ET on 26 October 2026, and the cutoff is 24 hours later. Election night: complete counts were posted before the first collection at 7:45 am on 27 October. Within 24 hours: complete counts were first found by a later collection before the cutoff. Not within 24 hours: counts were still incomplete or missing at the cutoff. Areas filled by acclamation had no vote. Collections ran at 7:45 am, 9:40 am, 12:30 pm, 2:25 pm, 4:45 pm, 5:05 pm and 8 pm; the time shown is when the counts were first found, so a clerk may have posted them earlier.

Status. Incumbent, new candidate or former trustee, as listed when the candidates were nominated.

What this page does not show. Results only. Counts posted after the cutoff, recounts and appointments to fill vacant seats are not reflected.
