Ontario has 72 publicly funded district school boards organized into four types: English Public, English Catholic, French Public, and French Catholic. Every child in Ontario is entitled to attend a school in at least one of these boards. Use this directory to find your board, visit their website, or call their main office.

Not sure which type of board you need?
English Public boards are non-denominational and open to all students. English Catholic boards serve Catholic families (or any family who wants a Catholic education for their child). French Public and French Catholic boards serve families with French-language education rights under Section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If you’re unsure about your rights, contact any board — they’ll help you figure it out.
